Problem Note 60271: Processing driver rules takes significantly longer in SAS® Cost and Profitability Management 8.1 than in SAS® Activity-Based Management 7.2

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

If a model uses drivers with rule formulas to create large numbers of assignments, the portion of model calculation that executes the driver rules might take longer to run in SAS Cost and Profitability Management 8.1 than in SAS Activity-Based Management 7.2. This is true even if you are processing identical rules to create the same number of assignments. This difference is due to some side effects of architectural changes. Depending on which rule formulas you use and how many assignments they create, the difference in processing time can vary greatly.
